@cupellosoccercoaching Press Teams That Play Out by Dave Clarke ⚽️📈 In this tactical drill you need two teams of 6 plus a goalkeeper. One team attacks one defends to start with. The attacking team works in groups of 4 with two resting players in each attack. The four attackers are set up against the 6 defenders who are receiving the ball as a defensive unit playing out from the back. The defenders need to keep the ball for one minute to get a point . The attackers must try to win the ball and if they do they have one minute to score a goal. Play for 6 balls swapping the two resting attackers on each ball. If the defenders get past a minute the ball is dead and a new one is played in. @cupellosoccercoaching Mid to Low Block by Jose Mourinho To set up a training session aimed at improving players' blocking skills, create four 6-yard-wide zones. Initially, have all players remain locked in their respective zones to demonstrate how players can block passing routes through strategic positioning without pressing. However, without a pressing player, this becomes more challenging. Next, introduce one player to press in the end zone, creating a 4v1 overload. This serves as a signal for the remaining players to move into positions to block any passes as the player gets pressed. The pressing player's movements and body language provide cues to their teammates about where the ball is likely to go and where they should block the passes. As the practice progresses, allow two players to press in the end zone and assign one player to block passes into the middle zone. For instance, two blue players can press in the end zone while another blue player moves back into the yellow midfield zone to block passes into that area. https://my.cupello.com/coaching/drills/pressing-triggers-midfield #controldrills #midfielder #midfielderdrills #passingdrills #soccerdrills #rondo #footballdrills #soccerdrillsforkids #soccerlife #footballcoach #footballcoach #footballacademy #skills #socceracademy #roma #chelsea #manchesterunited #soccer #football #footballer ♬ original sound - Cupello
