@cupellosoccercoaching 8v3 Possession Game by Erik Ten Hag ⚽️📈 This 8v3 Rondo was made famous by Ajax under Erik ten Hag and is used by him at Manchester United. It is all about passing versus pressing with lots of ball skills involved to keep the ball away from the pressers. They must have one person pressing and two covering. The game has 8 players on the outside of the circle with 3 players inside the circle.The team on the outside must keep hold of the ball from the three pressing players, with good passing. The aim of the game is to split the defenders with a pass which is worth 2 points all other successful passes are worth 1 point. @cupellosoccercoaching Switch Play Fast by Sarina Wiegman ⚽️📈 England Women manager Sarina Wiegman Likes to overload  play on one side of the pitch then switch to the other side where there is an underload to create space for her attackers. This drill replicates her tactical practice. Dark blue start with the ball with a pass from the coach and they must make three passes under pressure from one of the yellow players who goes to press immediately the dark blue player receives the ball. Once three passes are made the ball must be transferred via a red player to the light blue players on the other side. Now they must make three passes before they transfer the ball via the red player back to the dark blues.A yellow player from the centre goes to press immediately the ball is transferred to the other side.  Switch the teams around every three or four minutes so all players can have a go at all the roles. You may have to change bibs so you have three red players when they are in one of the other roles. If the yellows win the ball three times switch with the team that lost it. Look for quick reaction after losing possession. The focus should be on the players’ positioning, movement and decision-making. You need two teams of 4 players and a magic man who plays for the team in possession making it 5 v 4 to the team  in possession. Using triangles and passing lanes the team keeps the ball for as long as possible and recover it when it is lost. The team without the ball must try to win it and make possession theirs. @cupellosoccercoaching Shooting From Runs Outside Penalty Area 🚀🎯 Setting up play on the outside of the penalty box can create openings for players to have a shot which often catches goalkeepers unaware. Player A passes to C and player B runs to just outside the D of the penalty area to receive a pass on the run from C. Once B has taken a shot they return via the wing where they slalom through the training poles back to the start. C remains in place as the passer  and A becomes B.
