Switching play is key to this game, look for players taking the opportunity to switch.

Pass into the end zone must be the right weight and direction to make it easier for players to receive the ball. Players should be trying to make diagonal passes as they are more difficult to defend. If players are making bad passes get them to take an extra touch. Keep a close watch on the speed and accuracy of the short passes.

Players should be aware of the ball and not lose control over the speed of the ball. If the passes are too slow or to fast the chances of losing the ball are increased. First touch is important so that control of the ball is much easier and is not bouncing off the the players' feet.

You want to see quick short passes and players receiving and making decisions to dribble or pass. Correct players without stopping play and use breaks to make more detailed coaching advice.
