This session is designed to allow players the opportunity to practice combination passing in wide areas, as well as cross delivery for attackers finishing from those crosses.

Coaching Objectives

This activity will provide players the opportunity to work on repetition wide passing combinations to allow crossing from various wide attacking areas of the pitch, focusing on different types of deliveries to effective areas.

Players working within the 18-yard box will be looking to create space for themselves and work on various finishing techniques off a crossed ball.

The wide combination play that is occurring prior to the cross should look to replicate or link to your attacking philosophy, to ensure players are able to practice in insolation what you would be asking of them in an opposed setting.

These combinations will vary from coach to coach, however the set up will allow for variation.
