In this drill we use on tactics for working in a 4v4 situation when playing from in front to behind a defence and how attackers holding on the defensive line position themselves to see the ball and team mate to pass to.
Coaching Objectives
- Scanning to see the ball and team mates is important to the success of the session.
- If a long pass to a team mate in the other zone is on use it without going through the central zone.
- Dribbling to move defenders to create space.
- Movement to create passing lanes especially from the attackers in the central zone.
- Stay wide to split the defending team and create space.
- When the ball is lost move quickly to win it back.
