In this drill players work individually and as a team to create attacks and score goals. It works with 1v1s and 2v2s with forward passing and one-touch play. The ultimate aim is to build play into attack using the skills outlined here and score.

Coaching Objectives

  •  
  • Individual play 1v1 and 2v1, 2v2.
  • Passing with the correct weight and direction
  • Correct speed of the ball.
  • Movement with runs – coming short, going long
  • Increasing tempo to drag opponents out and break lines
  • Receiving techniques with body open to play to help with possession
  • Development of individual decision-making when receiving with one-touch passing
  • over long and short longer distances.
  • Counter pressing when possession is lost
  •
