This is a small-sided game focused on moving the ball through the thirds with the ideal move being up, back and through. That and the +1 in the central area make this a great game for educating your player in 9v9 game play and tactics.
Coaching Objectives
Attackers:
- Face and play forward as much as possible
- Control tempo
- Take mini touches
- Move to create passing lines
- Look for opportunities to play up, back and through
Defenders:
- Control and restraint
- Look for pressing triggers
- Try to block passing lines
- Force errors and try to cut out final pass
